This database is comprised of the marriage records recorded in DeKalb County from 1840 to 1900.  Since the DeKalb County Courthouse burned in 1842, these are the earliest marriage records in DeKalb (some marriages were rerecorded after the fire, hence there are a few marriage records that predate the fire).  The book and page number are given for each of the marriages recorded so that researches who wish to see the original records can easily locate them in the DeKalb County Courthouse.  The key to the books is as follows:
